All day I have been watching media coverage, and reading news about the tragic shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. A gathering place for entertainment – where we tell our stories, and escape for a few hours from our realities – was turned into a place of horror.
It is at times like this that our faith can help us make sense of the senseless.
So, today, we send out prayers to the families and friends of those who were hurt and killed in that tragedy…and for all of us who have been affected by seeing the images, hearing the stories, and trying to understand a tragic event that makes no sense. We send out prayers for the people of Aurora, Colorado.
