Below are links related to the books I have been reading. I recently read Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer. First of all, the book itself is beautiful – padded cover, lovely photographs and just the perfect size to hold. I happen to be taking a year-long course on Poetry & Meditation and the poem of that month (My eyes already touch the sunny hill going far ahead of the road I’ve begun…) (Rilke) seemed so in tune with the book! I was hesitant about the book because I’m not all that “into” conventional prayer, although I have been meditating for a number of years. But I just LOVE this book! In fact, I couldn’t put it down. I even re-read parts of it! Some things I already knew but the way the author presented things and wove in scientific truths (particle physics) made it all make sense; I felt myself so connected to existence/all life/the earth/the universe. I really must thank you for recommending this book. I feel I have a deeper sense of spirituality, a wisdom, and a strength that I didn’t have before.
So great to hear from you, Anne-Marie, and glad you enjoyed the book. It is a personal favorite, and I do like to read and re-read it. Thanks so much for taking this journey with you, and it warms my heart to hear that this book touched you the way that it has touched me. Be well,
