  1. I recently read Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer. First of all, the book itself is beautiful – padded cover, lovely photographs and just the perfect size to hold. I happen to be taking a year-long course on Poetry & Meditation and the poem of that month (My eyes already touch the sunny hill going far ahead of the road I’ve begun…) (Rilke) seemed so in tune with the book! I was hesitant about the book because I’m not all that “into” conventional prayer, although I have been meditating for a number of years. But I just LOVE this book! In fact, I couldn’t put it down. I even re-read parts of it! Some things I already knew but the way the author presented things and wove in scientific truths (particle physics) made it all make sense; I felt myself so connected to existence/all life/the earth/the universe. I really must thank you for recommending this book. I feel I have a deeper sense of spirituality, a wisdom, and a strength that I didn’t have before.
