Prayers for the family and friends of those who lost their lives in Libya

This mornings news sweep revealed that there were several Americans who lost their lives in Libya today. The  last of the bullet points in the CNN newstory said: “Islam film blamed for protests.”

So with a heavy heart today, we pray – we pray for those who lost their lives – the four Americans who were killed, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Foreign Services Officer Sean Smith, and two other Americans (names not yet released).

The explosive mix of religion, power and politics often leads us to the path of death and destruction. Lives are being lost senselessly.

So, today we pray.

  1. Thank you for your post on this topic. My sister is a Foreign Service Officer and is sent to international posts every 2-3 years. This is a close-knit community and so often their work is not understood or ignored.
