My visit to a Hindu temple last November left me thinking – boy do I have alot to learn about the Hindu religion. ALOT. So, this article in the fantastic elephant journal resonated with me as it gave me a little more insight into a particular Hindu deity. But even more importantly, it was just so fantastic as it talks about those times when life just cracks you open – and the opportunities that present themselves to you in those times. Can’t help to think, are you truly trying to find a personal relationship with GOD or the intent is, or was from the beginning to just collect data to write a book. I’m sorry for the loses of your family members, but question the unmarried relationship. It is as if we live in a Wal-Mart or Sears society today, whereby one buys it, tries it and if you get tired of it or just don’t like it, return it. God only knows, there are more than enough books out their, but still the number of lost soles struggling to find a personal relationship with him are beyond comprehension.
The mission of the Church (the believer) is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our friends, neighbors, family loved ones and anyone we come in contact with. The KJV Bible gives an account of His Virgin Birth, Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection to reconcile mankind back to God from the fall of Adam & Eve who brought about the curse upon mankind and separation because of their Sin. So one can find this personal relationship and truly have salvation to receive life eternal. But one must accept Jesus as one’s personal savior, after hearing the Gospel Preached and be called by the Holy Spirit to repent for one’s sins, be Baptized and start living as a follower of Jesus and conduct one’s life according to the scriptures, which includes coming to the end of ones self, come from the world, being separate from the worldly ways and not do that which is wrong in God’s site, just because everyone is doing it. For example cohabiting, living together apart from marriage is a sin called fornication. Unlawful sexual intercourse on the part of an unmarried person; figuratively, idolatry, a forsaking of the True God, and worshiping of idols which can be many things. (Ex.22:16, 17) (prov.7; 31:3 ) (Matt. 15:19); (Mark 7:21),Acts 15:20, 29);1st Cor. 5:9-11; 6:9 God can save a person from ones sin, but not in ones sin. Hence while living in sin God’s word says he can not hear ones prayers, except for a truly repentant prayer offered in a contrite spirit and broken heart for seeking salvation through Jesus Christ or Lord.
So I said all of that, to say this; it’s up to the person, it’s ones choice, but God says, today is the day of Salvation, choose you this day whom you will serve.
By all means, the purpose of my first 52 weeks was to find a way through the grief and loss caused by the death of my father, my grandmother, and the ending of my relationship. The result of my journey was a strengthened faith and spiritual foundation.
